What do you look for during a Sewer Scope?
During a sewer scope the inspector is looking for any signs of Root Intrusion, Misaligned Pipes, Blockages, Bellied Sections, Damaged or Crushed Pipes and anything that would cause an interruption in the natural flow through the drain pipes.
When do I need to do a Sewer Scope?
If you wait until you absolutely NEED a sewer scope, it may be too late and what you’ll actually need is a plumber or contractor. We recommend that anyone buying a home gets one to ensure you know exactly what condition the sewer line is in before you make your purchase. For anyone selling their home, a sewer scope could let you know if you have to make any adjustments or repairs before you sell. And for everyone else, it can be used as a preventative measure to identify and address any issues before the line backs up or causes damage.
